  Sentence:- A group of words put together in a certain order giving complete sense is called a sentence. e.g. Ram is a good boy. He is going to Patna. etc.

Degrees of Comparision

Case:-  Case is the grammatical functions of nouns or pronouns which shows in what relation the noun or the pronoun is related to other words in the sentence. There are three types of cases in English. They are, Nominative Case Objective Case Possessive Case (i) Nominative Case:- When a noun or a pronoun is used as the subject of a verb, it is said to be in the nominative case. e.g. Ram is playing. Sita is coming. You writes well. She reads in class IX. etc. (ii) Objective Case:- When a noun or a pronoun is used as the object of a verb or a preposition, it is said to be in the objective case. e.g.  She likes drawing. Ram is eating a mango. i am going to her. etc.     Here, Drawing, mango and her are used as objective case. Drawing and mango are objects of verb but her is the object of preposition. (iii) Possessive Case:- When the forms of nouns or pronouns are used to show relation or possession, they are said to be in the possessive case. e.g.  This is Sita'...

  Person:-  There are three types of person in English. They are, First Person Second Person Third Person (i) First Person:- The person who is speaking is called first person. (ii) Second Person:- The person who is spoken to is called second person. (iii) Third Person:- The person or thing that is spoken about is called third person. Note: According to the use in the sentence the word of third person may be of first or second person. e.g.  Don't make any noise, students. Bring a glass of water, Rahul. Mohan, why are you late today? I, Pritam, am your true friend.     In the above sentences, students, Rahul, Mohan and Pritam should be of third person since they are names. But according to the use students, Rahul and Mohan is of second person and Pritam is of first person.

Gender:-                             Gender is that which shows whether the noun or the pronoun is masculine, feminine or other. There are four types of gender in English. They are, Masculine Gender Feminine Gender Common Gender Neuter Gender

  Interjection An interjection is a word which expresses some sudden or strong feeling of mind. e.g. Alas, oh, Ah, Hurrah, Hello, Bravo, etc.

  Conjunction A conjunction is a word used to join words, phrases, clauses or sentences together.  e.g. and, but, because, therefore, although, when, either.....or, neither.....nor, not only.... but also, both...and, etc.     There are many other parts of speech also that does the work of connecting but to identify conjunction in them remember that "conjunction does only the work of connecting ."  Other parts of speech connects words or phrases or sentences and also do the work of modification.

  Preposition A preposition is a word placed before a noun or a pronoun to show its relation to some other word in the sentence. e.g. in, at, on, over, near, after, between, etc.     In some cases preposition can be before the noun/pronoun/noun equivalent or it can be at the last of the sentence or clause.

Adverb :- An adverb qualifies a verb, an adjective or another adverb. An adverb is a word used to add something to the meaning of a verb, an adjective or another adverb. e.g., slowly, carefully, beautifully, clearly, quickly, sadly, hardly, very, too, yesterday, today, soon, here, there, etc. Examples in sentences: The child runs slowly . He is too old.  She writes beautifully . Ram is very kind. They fought bravely . She walked very slowly. KINDS OF THE ADVERBS     The main kinds of adverbs are.....
