Parts of speech

Parts of speech:-
                                  All the English words are divided into eight groups according to the work they do in the sentence, each group is called parts of speech.

They are.......
  1. Noun
  2. Pronoun
  3. adjective
  4. Verb
  5. Adverb
  6. Preposition
  7. Conjunction
  8. Interjection
Thus there are eight types of parts of speech. We can only determine the words by seeing it in the sentence that from which category the word belongs to. Because the same word may be belonging to the different parts of speech in the different sentence.

Examples:-
  • We love India.        (love-verb)
  • India is my love.    (love-noun)
  • Please come in.        (in-adverb)
  • Ram is in the room.    (in-preposition)
